Three blind mice

In 2008 I was commissioned to design and produce patterns and samples for a family of knitted mice.

The grey mice are two pattern testing samples using an acrylic double knitting yarn from my stash, a yarn different to the thicker natural yarn that was to be provided in the kit. The acrylic yarn didn't hold the shape so well.

The large mouse to the same pattern is a fun make for ourselves using King Cole Magnum Multi Chunky and with a squeaker inside.

The blue mouse is the light pull in our bathroom. Again made using King Cole Magnum Multi Chunky, the twisted tail forming the light switch cord. Same mouse in both pictures ~ hanging naturally on the left, tail held just out of shot to keep the mouse still on the right ~ but different lighting conditions. The picture on the left is closest to the true colours.
